Qobuz, the independently owned high-quality music streaming and download platform, returned to the Newport Folk and Newport Jazz Festivals this summer for its second year partnering with the Newport Festivals Foundation. As an official sponsor this year across both festival weekends, Qobuz presented a pair of late-night aftershows featuring Courtney Barnett with Tiny Gun and Butcher Brown & Friends. Qobuz also extended its presence throughout the festival experience with on-site signage, and sponsorship of the official Folk and Jazz Festival apps, which featured links to stream artists on Qobuz as well as complimentary trial offers to try out the service.

Qobuz, the independently-owned high-quality music streaming and download platform, is exclusively partnering with Lomax Archive to release seven newly remastered albums drawn from Alan Lomax's landmark American Patchwork recordings. Arriving September 18 only on Qobuz, the collection features 77 performances recorded between 1978 - 1982 released as streaming albums for the first time, and brings together foundational recordings of Delta blues, Appalachian folk, New Orleans brass bands, Mardi Gras Indian traditions, and other musical traditions that helped shape American music.
