Paris, 26 October 2026 — Qobuz, the independent French music streaming and download platform, is now available in Poland, as of October 23, bringing its presence to a total of 27 countries. This launch follows 45.7% growth in 2025, with Qobuz expecting to achieve positive net income in March 2027. Ranked as the world's 16th largest recorded music market, Poland is among Europe's most dynamic markets, driven by paid subscriptions.
Poland, a fast-growing market
Poland boasts one of the European Union's most dynamic economies, with a 3.6% uptick in growth in 2025 compared to 2024. Its recorded music market is growing even faster and has just surpassed Sweden's. Paid subscriptions are the primary driver, up 20.5% year-on-year.
The country possesses a strong hi-fi culture, perfectly aligned with Qobuz’s positioning on sound quality. Warsaw recently hosted the Audio Video Show, Europe's second-largest hi-fi show, in which Qobuz participated from October 23 to 25.
International expansion, the driver of Qobuz’s growth
International expansion is a core pillar of Qobuz's growth strategy. Since 2019, when it expanded to the United States, the platform has launched in 16 new markets, including Poland. International markets now account for over 80% of its revenue, and the United States has become its leading market ahead of France.
In 2025, its growth rate was more than five times higher than that of the global paid streaming market, and Qobuz achieved EBITDA break-even with zero financial debt.
"Every new country launch follows a clear logic: growing markets where paid streaming is on the rise and where listeners value audio quality. Poland meets all these criteria and represents a new milestone in our international expansion, as Qobuz approaches profitability," says Georges Fornay, Deputy General Manager of Qobuz.
A platform where music remains human-curated
Qobuz stands out in the streaming landscape with an offering built around human curation. Every week, its music experts and enthusiasts select albums and artists across all genres through playlists and recommendations—all in high-resolution sound quality, Qobuz's signature feature since 2007. Polish listeners now have access to all of this content, complemented by editorial selections dedicated to their local market.
This approach extends to artists as well. Qobuz flags music identified as AI-generated* on its platform, and remains the only platform to publish its average payout per stream, verified by an independent auditing firm ($18.73 per 1,000 streams).
"We knew Qobuz was highly anticipated in Poland. We are delighted to now offer Polish listeners a platform that advocates a different approach to music," adds Georges Fornay.
