Qobuz Summer Festival Highlights at We Out Here, Newport Folk & Newport Jazz

This summer, Qobuz expanded its UK and US festival presence with partnerships at We Out Here, Newport Folk, and Newport Jazz, delivering music-first activations and sessions at some of the season’s biggest and most exciting music gatherings.

Qobuz was an official partner of the We Out Here Festival (August 14–17), hosting curated Hi-Res listening sessions at The Knowledge, the festival’s new interactive hub. Highlights included intimate listening sessions with Grammy-winning documentarian Don Letts (with Tina Edwards), South London-based producer Mia Koden (with Rishi Bagdai), and the independent label BBE Music. Qobuz Managing Director Dan Mackta also joined a panel on ethical music consumption with artists Andy Carthy (Mr. Scruff) and Ruairidh Fraser, exploring how music communities and artists can work together to challenge corporate power in the music industry.

Across the pond, Qobuz partnered with the Newport Folk Festival (July 25–26) and the Newport Jazz Festival (August 1–2). At Newport Folk, it worked with the Newport Festivals Foundation to present official late-night aftershows featuring The Deslondes with Langhorne Slim and Chaparelle with Hayes Carll at The Parlor Bar & Kitchen. The following weekend at Newport Jazz, Qobuz continued its support with Parlor aftershows featuring performances by the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio and Julius Rodriguez and Friends. All shows on both weekends were sold out and drew packed, enthusiastic crowds.

This summer’s collaborations add to Qobuz’s growing list of music-first partnerships, including work with Brick Lane Jazz Festival and CanJam London, The Great Escape in Brighton, AXPONA, SXSW, Folk Alliance, Festival Bach Montréal, Chicago indie label International Anthem, and many more, reflecting its mission to support artists, labels, and communities through meaningful listening experiences.
