QOBUZ APPOINTS RAPHAËL AWÓSÉYÌN AS CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER AND MARC ZISMAN AS CHIEF MUSIC OFFICER

Qobuz, the high-quality music platform, strengthens its leadership team with two major appointments: Raphaël Awóṣéyìn as Chief Marketing Officer, and Marc Zisman as Chief Music Officer.

Raphaël Awóṣéyìn is appointed Chief Marketing Officer


After two years at Qobuz as Head of Quality Assurance and later Chief Customer Officer, Raphaël Ṣẹ́gun Awóṣéyìn has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer at Qobuz. Combining the roles of Chief Customer Officer and Chief Brand Officer, Raphaël is responsible for managing customer experience as well as increasing the image and reputation of the brand internationally. As a member of the Board of Directors, Raphaël oversees the Marketing Department, which is responsible for managing the CRM, customer support, Customer Data and Marketing teams.

A graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology in the United States, Raphaël Ṣẹ́gun Awóṣéyìn began his career as a Quality Assurance Analyst at Progressive Insurance. Wishing to gain international experience, he joined EDHEC Business School in Paris in 2013 and obtained an MBA with a specialisation in Global Leadership & Consulting in 2014. For seven years, he worked for several companies: Axa, Publicis Sapient and Younited Credit, where he dealt with test automation and software quality issues for companies in their digital transformation. He joined Qobuz in 2019 as Head of Quality Assurance and then Chief Customer Officer.

Marc Zisman is appointed Chief Music Officer


After fifteen years as Editor-in-Chief at Qobuz, Marc Zisman has been appointed Chief Music Officer. His mission is to offer subscribers a premium music experience based on a diverse catalog and unique, eclectic content. His scope of responsibility covers all Qobuz markets, in France and across the globe.

As a music expert, Marc is responsible for the editorial strategy which involves the production of editorial content, creation of original playlists, and expert curation of new releases. He also leads the licensing team in charge of content management, especially in high-resolution and digital booklets.

A graduate of Celsa, Marc Zisman began his career as Editor-in-Chief of Guitare et Claviers Magazine. He became General Manager of Music at Amazon in 2000 and then joined Qobuz in 2006, where he took charge of the magazine's editorial division. Marc Zisman is also the author of the book Le Funk, De James Brown à Prince.
