QOBUZ INVITES YOU TO ITS STAND AND TWO EXCLUSIVE HIGH-RESOLUTION LISTENING SESSIONS AT HIGH END IN MUNICH

Famous Munich bassist Nils Kugelmann presents his debut album 'Stormy Beauty' together with Qobuz and jazz label ACT at the Yamaha Showroom A4.2, F207.

Qobuz stand: Hall 4, S01

Qobuz has also teamed up with the renowned jazz label ACT to host two exclusive high-resolution listening sessions. On 12 May, Nils Kugelmann, the renowned German jazz bassist and composer, will present his latest album "Stormy Beauty". Several tracks from the new album will be presented live and in the presence of the artist in Hi-Res resolution. Attendees will be able to experience all the benefits of the Qobuz platform. The leading high quality music platform has always been an ambassador of quality, reproducing music exactly as the artist intended.

The 28-year-old bassist Nils Kugelmann has already received numerous awards as a bandleader and sideman. He has won the "Young Munich Jazz Award" and the "Bavarian Jazz Association Award", as well as the "Music Scholarship of the City of Munich" for his work.

"Stormy Beauty" is a debut full of power and passion, in which Nils Kugelmann has found his own style and elicits new facets from jazz. Together with his trio, consisting of Luca Zambito on piano and Sebastian Wolfgruber on drums, he creates rhythms from which the listener cannot escape.  With his instrumental virtuosity, he manages to free the double bass from its role as an accompanying rhythm instrument and to make it an equal, even dominant melody instrument in a piano trio. As the album title promises, Nils Kugelmann is concerned with the most important things that music can convey: Beauty, suspense, passion.

The exclusive Hi-Res Listening Sessions will take place at 11am and 2pm in the Yamaha Showroom (A 4.2, F207). The presentation of the album will be followed by a Q&A session. To take part in the listening session, please register via Open2Europe.
