Qobuz Survey: now we know much more about you!

A month ago, we sent a client survey out to all of our users. We asked many questions - some might say too many! We had an incredible response rate from you, which allowed us to confirm how unique you are regarding your relationship to music and your interests.This study also highlighted areas for improvement that we should pursue to continue to fulfill our duty, which is to offer an online music service that anticipates and meets all your expectations.Here is some information, elements, and anecdotes from the survey results: Will you recognize yourself?It’s not only "young people" that stream!The investigation has shown that, contrary to what one might think, 40-60 year olds on Qobuz listen to their music via streaming even more commonly than the younger age brackets.Similarly, 18-30 year olds download as much as the average Qobuz user (aged 49), although we probably would have side otherwise beforehand!At Qobuz, quality is kingFor the vast majority of you (95%!), Hi-Res quality is a determining factor in your choice of listening on Qobuz. This is a key factor for virtually all age groups. The youngest age brackets are as demanding in this respect as the others.Qobuz, the music service for artists and musicians10% of the French population practices a musical instrument. When we conduct the same research on Qobuz users, this figure rises to 35%! You play traditional and classical instruments, but also modern day computer-aided/electronic instruments.What kind of band would gather in the name of Qobuz, then? Imagine a bowed psaltery meeting a mandocello to give you an idea!Qobuz users are technophilesMostly equipped with Hi-Fi systems and complex compounds, there are no conformists among you, with more than 400 different brands of speaker system owned by our users!On Qobuz, 40-60 year olds have the most eclectic tastesWhile one might expect this age group to prefer three genres in particular (Pop Rock, Classical and Jazz), we find them also interested in French Music and Electro...!In addition, they use a surprisingly wide range of different devices:Computers, mobiles, tablets and network drives. This age group is the most diverse in their listening devices.They are rebels! At least that's what they say...While many of you (44%) claimed not to be particularly influenced in their choice of listening, many of you (35%) remain sensitive to "the Qobuz calibre", that is to say, our Qobuzisms!Sublime subscribers are uniqueWith a new offer, a new type of client was born on Qobu: the Sublime subscriber.
